Ivonne Yáñez is an interdisciplinary artist and fashion designer from Mexico City, currently based in Minneapolis. She earned her Master of Fine Arts from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 2023 and holds degrees in Fashion Design from the Universidad del Valle de México and the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan.

Initially focused on fashion media and retail design in Mexico City, Yáñez has since shifted her practice toward immersive installations, soft sculpture, and textile-based works. She has presented solo exhibitions at Museo Sebastián in Chihuahua, the Rochester Art Center, SooVAC, and Random Access Gallery in Syracuse, NY. Her work has also been included in group exhibitions at Franconia Sculpture Park, Gamut Gallery, and other venues.

In addition to her studio practice, Yáñez is an arts educator at the Walker Art Center, an adjunct faculty member at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, and a teaching artist at the Textile Center, where she focuses on preserving and sharing traditional Mexican textile techniques.
