The Auction at MCAD

Every Spring

The Auction at MCAD is the college’s signature annual fundraising event, bringing together artists, collectors, and supporters for an evening of art, celebration, and philanthropy. Featuring original artwork generously donated by artists and collectors, the Auction offers guests the opportunity to bid on and take home exceptional work while directly supporting scholarships for MCAD students. With live and silent auctions, special experiences, and a lively gathering of the community, the event turns a shared love of art into meaningful support for the next generation of artists and designers.

The MCAD Art Sale

Every November

The MCAD Art Sale is an annual celebration of creativity that brings together MCAD students, alumni, artists, collectors, and the broader Twin Cities community. There’s nothing else like it! Thousands of original works—from paintings, prints, photographs, sculptures, jewelry, furniture, and more—fill the college’s galleries and halls, offering something for everyone. The Art Sale provides participating students and alumni artists a chance to share their work with a wide audience and build their creative careers, while proceeds also support MCAD student scholarships.

Land Acknowledgement

The Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD) acknowledges it is located on traditional, ancestral, and contemporary lands of Indigenous people.
