WiFi on Campus

The MCAD Help Desk provides support for wireless connectivity for Apple computers running recent versions of MacOS as well as a wide range of mobile devices. Non-Apple computers and devices are often able to connect to MCAD's wireless network but may not be officially supported. Most Windows computers can also connect to the MCAD wireless network, but extra configuration is required.

Student Laptop Requirement

Undergraduate students are required to own a laptop computer to conduct research, carry out assignments, enter class discussion groups, and communicate with teachers and administrators. All new undergraduate and graphic design certificate students must have a fully supported MacBook Pro laptop to use in MCAD's classrooms. Laptops are offered through MCAD at a significantly discounted price, however, students with acceptable Apple computers may opt to waive the MCAD laptop program. Students who have their own computer that meets requirements may waive the purchase of a laptop.

Help Desk

MCAD Help Desk provides technology support to the MCAD community. Services include assistance with computer setup and operation, troubleshooting of academic software, and expert support for integration with the college’s technology infrastructure.
