Campus Safety

MCAD Lawn, Fall

On-call and present twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, MCAD Campus Safety works across campus to ensure that students, faculty, staff, and visitors are respected, supported, and safe. The team is composed of the Director, Supervisor, Coordinator, Campus Safety Officers and 27 student workers. By building healthy, trusting relationships within the MCAD community, the Campus Safety team:

  • Supports academic freedom.
  • Centers the experience of marginalized communities.
  • Protects civil and human rights.
  • Provides a safe environment to foster the open exchange of ideas.
  • Serves students of all backgrounds in their educational journey.

Safety Escorts

Escorts are available to all enrolled students, staff, faculty, and guests who want to return to their residence, car, or bus stop within a specific radius.

Taxi Service

MCAD students can obtain assistance for a taxi ride from Campus Safety using the MCAD account provided by Student Affairs. Taxi rides may also be used for round-trip transport to a clinic or emergency room for non-life threatening conditions.

MCAD Emergency Alerts

In the event of weather warnings, weather closings and delays, or an on-campus emergency, the MCAD community can receive an alert with up-to-date information and instructions. MCAD Alerts are part of a mass notifications system, allowing college officials to reach students and employees about safety preparedness. Sign up to receive messages via text, voicemail, and/or email.
