Art Academy for ages 12 -15: Book Arts (In Person)

Gain hands-on experience with bookmaking and printmaking techniques, and develop the skills and tools to create unique handmade books from start to finish. Open to ages 12-15.

Course description

Experiment with paper, page stitching, cover design, and bookbinding to build zines, accordion books, and hardcover stitched journals.

Explore how book arts connect to printmaking, by creating monoprints to use as illustrations. By the end of the class, students will have a one-of-a-kind book ready to fill with stories, sketches, collages, prints and more. / Materials fee of $15 is included in course tuition.
