Suyao Tian Announced as Featured Artist at 2025 Austin ArtWorks Festival

MCAD adjunct faculty Suyao Tian was announced as the 2025 Austin ArtWorks Festival’s featured Artist. During the festival, Tian’s work will be displayed on the 2nd floor of the Austin ArtWorks Center gallery, and she’ll be doing a demo and Q&A on the festival grounds. The festival will be taking place August 23–25 in downtown Austin.

Suyao Tian is a prominent full time artist and notable independent curator, as well as a part-time teacher of water-based media here at MCAD. She founded the Viewpoint Gallery, and serves as a board member of both the Art Buddies, and the Northeast Minneapolis Arts Association.
