Casebere, a seminal figure in the Pictures Generation, presents new photographs inspired by Barragán’s iconic buildings, including the Gilardi House and the architect’s own Mexico City studio.“It’s my attempt to embody the spirit and ambition and values that Barragán tried to create—to create ‘an emotional architecture,’ as [Barragán] put it,” said Casebere.Together, Casebere and Dávila offer a poetic and personal meditation on architecture’s capacity to move, transform, and inspire. The Poetic DimensionSean Kelly Gallery (Los Angeles, CA)September 13–November 1, 2025Learn MoreJames Casebere and Jose Dávila: The Poetic Dimension(skny.com) Explore more about James Casebere
