Anne Labovitz featured in Artdose

MCAD Faculty member Anne Labovitz was recently interviewed by Frank Juárez for Artdose: A midwest art magazine. The article highlights one of her previous exhibitions in 2023, The Nexus of Well-Being and Art at the Rochester Art Center.

The interview focuses on her practice and how she arrives at the themes of mental health, and caring for ourselves and others. Labovitz explains how her research driven work is meant to not only bring awareness, but also connection between people regardless of identity, race, or class; “Art is a gateway that welcomes everyone…to connect to something bigger than ourselves.”
