Alonzo Pantoja Accepted into PhD Program and Invited to Prestigious Residency

Alonzo Pantoja ’20, MFA has been accepted into the PhD in Fine Arts program at Texas Tech University, marking an exciting next step in his academic and artistic journey.

In addition to beginning doctoral studies, Pantoja has been invited to participate in the Textiles and Fibers Pentaculum Residency at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, taking place in January 2026. The Pentaculum is a highly regarded, invitation-only residency that brings together artists from across the country for a week of focused studio practice and collaboration.
