Explore the three-dimensional space through sculptural collage and box assemblage techniques. Course DescriptionCurate, compose, and arrange found objects within a defined three-dimensional space to create a new meaning and explore relationships between objects. Drawing inspiration from Joseph Cornell and other modern artists, work with both personal and discovered materials to create evocative, symbolic compositions that emphasize visual relationships, poetic resonance, and conceptual depth. Techniques include adapting found containers, spatial arrangement, securing lightweight structures, and surface treatment. Combining the intuitive process of collage with hands-on sculptural practice, build miniature worlds from everyday materials—finished works rich in meaning and ready to display. / Materials fee of $6 is included in course tuition.Open to students ages 18 and above.
