Hello all!

My name is Marie Aceituno. I have a house full of kids, pets, and plants. All things that require me to keep them alive, and I wonder why I have no energy! I am beginning a new adventure in a second career here at MCAD. I have an Associates of Science from Anoka tech in Occupational Therapy (2009) and a BA from St. Kates in Psychology (2019). All of which has led me to 20 plus years working with individuals with special needs. 2 years ago I worked with a group of staff and students to start creating our own sensory garden. Take a look!

Things I enjoyed most during that time were creating spaces and adapting tools to meet the needs of my students. At home I have slowly created a mini wanna be urban farm and a sustainable life. Here is a picture of me (in sunglasses), my cousin, and my middle little, stocking up on Minnesota natives for my native garden!
