Zhangruo “Genre” Sun Earns Professional Exploration Category Award at World Illustration Awards 2025

Zhangruo “Genre” Sun ’22, MFA was awarded the Professional Exploration Category winner for the World Illustration Awards 2025. Her series, Bridging Two Worlds, was inspired by her and her partner’s different perspectives and personalities.

Sun’s digital illustrations feature rooms inspired by their Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) personality types. Hers is the Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, Perciver (INFP) and his is the Introverted, Sensor, Thinker, Perciver (ISTP). The series is intended as a reminder to be patient and understanding of each other's differences.
