Chris Monroe ’80 read from two of her books, Sasquatch and Squirrel and String Ball, at the Zenith Bookstore. The reading on February 1 was a part of Winter Out West 2026 taking place in West Duluth.

She has illustrated not only her own books, but the works of other authors, and her artwork can be seen at Lizzard’s Gallery in Duluth as a part of their permanent collection. Her book Monkey with a Tool Belt has been adapted into the Netflix series Chico Bon Bon: Monkey with a Tool Belt.
