"Resilience" Exhibition

A new exhibition titled Resilience exploring the political and social power of printmaking opened last week at the Highpoint Center for Printmaking.

The exhibition features work by several contemporary artists, including MCAD professor Piotr Szyhalski, alongside Ricardo Levins Morales, Ruthann Godollei, and Dio Cramer. Together, their prints and works on paper highlight how the medium has historically been used to circulate ideas, challenge power structures, and respond to current events.

Resilience emphasizes printmaking as an active form of communication rather than a static art object—presenting works as “calls to action” and tools for imagining alternative futures. The exhibition also includes protest posters created in response to immigration enforcement actions in Minnesota.
