Stephen Friedman Gallery, in collaboration with Garth Greenan Gallery in New York, has announced its representation of the estate of Jaune Quick-to-See-Smith. Jaune Quick-to-See-Smith, who passed January 24, 2025, holds an honorary Doctorate of Fine Arts from MCAD. She was a prolific Native American contemporary artist and curator. She dedicated her career and life to boosting the voices and works of other contemporary indigenous artists, and breaking what she called “the buckskin ceiling.” Her own works, including paintings, drawings, and sculptures, also highlighted the systemic injustices of native people. On June 6, 2025, the Stephen Friedman Gallery will be presenting Quick-to-See-Smith’s works in her first solo exhibition in the United Kingdom, while the Garth Greenan Gallery will display her work concurrently.Jaune Quick-to-See Smith EstateStephen Friedman Gallery (London, England) Garth Greenan Gallery (New York, NY) April 8, 2025Learn moreStephen Friend Gallery Now Represents the Estate of Jaune Quick-to-See-Smith(fadmagazine.com—April 8, 2025)
