Sarah Evenson ’16 was in conversation with Edie Fake at the 2025 McKnight Fellowship for Book Artists Panel talk at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts. Evenson worked with Edie Fake over the year of their McKnight Fellowship.

Evenson’s work as a gay, transgender artist revolves around queer joy, embodied by their bright and colorful zine work, animation, and prints. Fake’s work as a painter reflects similar themes of analyzing “trans identity and queer spaces through the lens of architecture and ornamentation”.
