Minneapolis-based painter Sara Suppan ’15 has opened her latest solo exhibition, Precision Machine, at Primary in Miami. The show presents a new body of paintings that explore the discipline and paradox of artistic creation.

In Precision Machine, Suppan examines the act of making itself—its repetitions, failures, and quiet moments of clarity. Her finely rendered works balance technical precision with humor and introspection, embodying what the gallery describes as “a meditation on failure—on the futility and necessity of trying again.”

Known for her meticulously composed works that blend formal precision with emotional resonance, Suppan continues to gain national and international recognition. Precision Machine follows recent solo exhibitions with Micki Meng in San Francisco, Moosey in the UK, and Weinstein Hammons in Minneapolis, as well as several group shows in cities such as Los Angeles, Paris, London, and Zurich.
