The special thing about their paper-making process is the direct environmental impact, as they remove a local invasive of reed canary grass, remove the parts that would allow it to regrow, turn it into pulp, and mix native seeds into their paper. The couple has been offering demos in libraries across Minnesota since 2019. The demos provide important discussions as explained by Haglin, "Restorative justice. Honoring what Native folks have stewarded in the state of Minnesota and talking about the ways that has affected our environment.”Learn moreMinneapolis Artists Work to Restore Native Prairie(kare11.com—June 26, 2025)
