In Our Presence

Lokho Kotile ’23, who is currently serving as the Programs Coordinator at the African Museum arts & Cultural Center in St.Paul, Minnesota, is pleased to announce their Black History Month group exhibition titled In Our Presence. The show runs from February 7–27, and features work by African American artists whose work reflect on black history, memory, and lived experience.

The museum's aim is to honor black creativity, and foster thoughtful engagement between artists and the community. They also emphasize that "at a time when attendance at cultural spaces has been challenged by ongoing uncertainty and recent immigration enforcement activity in our area, our team is committed to affirming the museum as a safe, welcoming space for reflection, creativity, and collective presence."
