Ernest Arthur Bryant III ’05 debuts his newest exhibition with Essex Flowers, NEW BLACK MEDIA. The exhibit is a series of works employing sgraffito, wherein the artist scratches the surface to create forms.

The series explored art as labour and construction. The act of construction by building the layers of ink and then scratching out those forms offers an alternative understanding of artistic practice and aesthetics.
