November 05, 2025 Image The 2025 Twin Cities Book Festival will open its annual Minnesota Author Showcase with a celebration of first-time novelists.The session will feature three writers whose diverse backgrounds and creative perspectives reflect the breadth of the state’s literary scene, including MCAD faculty member Raki Kopernik. Together, they’ll launch the festival’s Minnesota Author Showcase series with readings and discussion about the art and urgency of debut fiction.Kopernik, a queer, Jewish, first-generation American writer, is already known for The Things You Left and The Memory House, both Minnesota Book Award finalists.
