MCAD Student Willa C. H. Publishes First Comic Book

Emerging comic artist Willa C. H. is gaining attention for her imaginative, self-driven creative work while studying at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.

Willa, who studies in MCAD’s Comic Art program, recently self-published her first comic book, After The End of The World, at the end of 2024.

Working between Minneapolis and Santa Fe, Willa describes herself as an “entropy enthusiast,” a theme that runs throughout her work. Her comics, illustrations, and writing often explore the intersections of magic, nature, and transformation, combining vibrant imagery with introspective themes.

In addition to her solo publication, Willa’s writing is featured in the Miscreant Anthology, with a related Kickstarter campaign expected to launch this month.
