May 31, 2025 Image Karen Wirth Karen Wirth, professor emeritus and 2024 McKnight Book Artist Fellow, will present an artist talk at Open Book’s Performance Hall. The evening includes a conversation with visiting book artist Clifton Meador, focusing on the role of place in artists’ books, inspired by Wirth’s recent travels to the Arctic.The event coincides with Wirth’s retrospective exhibition, Building / Books | A Retrospective. The show features four decades of Wirth’s work blending book arts, public art, and architectural storytelling.
