MCAD alumni Jennifer Nevitt ’96 will be in conversation with fellow artist Charles Matson Lume at the Pillsbury Auditorium at the Minneapolis Institute of Art on May 8. Nevitt was a part of the Mia’s Minnesota Artists Exhibition Program from 2017 to 2018, while Lume is the current MAEP with his exhibit Charles Matson Lume: lacuna (for Gustaf Sobin).

Throughout his work, Lume explores what he calls the pas de deux (a dance between two) of light. His installation work plays with space, gaps, material, and color to create this effect, to convey the themes of poetry and mortality.
