Imaginative Watercolors by Woody Olsen on Display at Roberta’s Art Gallery

Roberta’s Art Gallery at UW-Whitewater is proud to showcase Expressing Imagination, an exhibit featuring the vivid and experimental watercolor works of Merwood “Woody” Olsen ’76.

Known for his use of watercolor layered with drawing, collage, and mixed media, Olsen creates striking, often faceless figures emerging from vibrant backgrounds. His work encourages viewers to explore their own interpretations while engaging with themes of imagination and abstraction.

Additionally, students are invited to attend a free watercolor workshop hosted by Olsen on October 14 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the University Center Lower Level, in partnership with UC Live.
