Kyle Staver ’76

Kyle Staver ’76 exhibited her third solo exhibition titled The Greatest Show on Earth on November 7 at the Nino Mier Gallery in New York. The Greatest Show on Earth premiered new paintings and clay reliefs which reference the historical identity of the circus.

Staver’s work is active and narrative, often focusing on fantastical stories from various mythologies. She offers a feminist correction of the work she’s adapting, giving agency and autonomy to the women in the stories. Her focus on the circus was the next logical step as she explored American mythos.
