Don Grandbois ’63

At eighty years old, Don Grandbois ’63 celebrates a long-awaited moment in the spotlight. His recent exhibition, Between Doubt and Desire: The Art of Don Grandbois, is a deeply personal and celebratory showcase of a lifetime of artistic exploration, decades in the making.

Grandbois's exhibition is organized by his great-niece Hadley Dobish, a high school senior and aspiring art historian. Between Doubt and Desire draws from Grandbois’s studio and private collections, which include loaned pieces from friends and supporters, featuring a blend of abstract expressionist and impressionist work, along with a few sculptural pieces.

Dobish, who curated the exhibition as her senior capstone project, noted the significance of the exhibition as a “celebration of his life’s work and where he’s at now.”
