Gene Bird ’00, MFA is among the featured collectors in Collect Call 6, now on view at the Soo Visual Arts Center (SooVAC). The exhibition invites Minnesota-based art collectors to share selections from their personal collections, offering a glimpse into the passion and stories behind their acquisitions.

Bird’s presentation includes notable works by acclaimed artists Bruce Nauman and Robert Crumb, alongside other pieces that reflect his lifelong engagement with contemporary art and visual culture.

Part of SooVAC’s ongoing Collect Call series, the exhibition highlights the deep connections between collectors and artists, showcasing art as both personal inspiration and communal legacy.
