February 22, 2024 Image Andrea Carlson ‘05, MFA, was recently awarded Creative Capital’s 2024 Wild Futures: Art, Culture, Impact grant. Out of 5,600 applications nationwide, fifty project proposals were chosen—twenty-eight visual arts and twenty-two film. As a visual arts award recipient, Carlson was granted unrestricted funding up to $50,000 to support her project. Described as the “gold standard in artist support” on their website, Creative Capital strives to advance artistic freedom by supporting a diverse makeup of artists and their creation of innovative new works.
