Brendan Leahy Awarded Service Initiative Award

Brendan Leahy ’08 who currently works as an educator at the School of Theatre, Dance, and Film at Illinois State University, was recently awarded with the Service Initiative Award. The award is given to early-career faculty members who have shown considerable promise.

The decision was based on Leahy’s leadership, and encouragement of experimental approaches to ideation and film making. He is the founder of various film screening events and advises student film organizations and festivals, helping students engage professional audiences and industry networks.
