The event is tied to Mia’s new exhibition, Year of the Horse: Hoofbeats Through Time, which draws from the museum’s extensive Chinese art collection.For Schneider, the holiday is more than a cultural festivity—it is a personal bridge to her family’s history. Her recent exhibitions, Chinese-ish and Edible, explore her mixed identity and honor her grandmother, who emigrated from China in 1959.
