April 22, 2026 Image Agnes Story ’79 Agnes Story ’79 is featured this spring in a dynamic lineup of exhibitions across Southwest Florida, with her solo exhibition Mandala Meditations – On the Fabric of Life.Story’s exhibition highlights a deeply personal and evolving body of work rooted in reflection, material exploration, and lifelong creative practice. Developed during the COVID-19 pandemic while recovering from surgery, the series marks a return to sustained studio time for the artist, who spent twenty-five years as an elementary art educator.Drawing on her MCAD training as well as later study of The Artist’s Way, Story’s work begins with the meditative structure of mandalas and the geometry of quilt patterns. Early pieces incorporate layered collage using specialty and hand-painted papers, while more recent works transition into drawing and painting. The exhibition reflects Story’s ongoing exploration of balance, rhythm, and color, with newer pieces introducing symbolic imagery and landscape elements.Mandala MeditationsApril 16–May 3, 2026Arts Bonita Center for Visual Arts, Tranovich Gallery (Bonita Springs, Florida)Learn MoreIn April, there are 29 shows at art centers including this year's International Baccalaureate Visual Arts Exhibition(wgcu.org—April 6, 2026) Explore more about Agnes Story
