April 12, 2026 Image Dilan Parekh MCAD Professor and senior programmer for the Minnesota Film Society Craig Laurence Rice ’76 chose the film 40 Acres to be the debut film for Capri theatre’s new First Thursday Film Series. Rice has been working with the theater on the new monthly community driven series, curating films meant to spark discussion and reflection. The movie, directed by R.T. Thorne, is an apocalyptic movie through a black and indigenous lens, meant to reflect their lived reality.
