2026 Twin Cities Startup Week's Innovation Day at MCAD

Twin Cities Start Up Week 2026’s Innovation Day was hosted at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD). The 2026 Twin Cities Start Up Week highlights the work and programs of Twin Cities colleges including the University of St. Thomas, Macalester College, and the University of Minnesota. Innovation day was hosted at MCAD from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and included several workshops, panels, networking meet ups, and coworking spaces.

MCAD’s Creative Entrepreneurship Department hosted several workshops and panels, including Pitch Like a Performer which was guided by adjunct faculty member Denice Burbach and Creative Leadership alum Zelia Gonzales ’26, MA. The theatrical workshop guided audience members to create tableaux of fairytales with near strangers as an exercise in openness, confidence, and authenticity.
