Kurt Paulsen is an educator and artist based in southern Minnesota. He has been leading classrooms since 2006 across 6 campuses and has taught classes in film production, film history, visual communication, media installation art, animation, and motion graphics. He is also a freelance producer and digital media artist with clients like Wargamming.net and bands such as Trampled by Turtles and Mason Jennings. Kurt has a strong interest in the novel, surreal, and experimental and always loves to bring his students and clients into unexpected but exciting solutions. 

Kurt received his MFA in Motion Media Design from Savannah College of Art and Design, with an emphasis on alternative instructional models within media education.  Kurt has also been involved in community arts through the Speechless International Film Festival which he founded and directed (2012-2020).
