Galanos is an educator, artist, and designer who works with photography, film, video, printmaking, and clay. Lately, she’s been teaming up with choreographers to create films that bring dance to life on screen. She took part in the first-ever Waabizipinikaan-Ziibi Filmmaking Residency and has received awards and support from places like the State Arts Board and the Jerome Foundation to develop her work in media arts and printmaking.

Her art—both solo projects and collaborations—has been shown in galleries and museums around the world, including the Minnesota Museum of American Art, the Soap Factory, and even places as far as London, Beijing, and Germany. Her films and videos have also been featured at the Rochester Art Center, Weisman Art Museum, and the Walker Art Center.
