She is an interdisciplinary artist at the evolving intersection of Media Literacy, User Experience and Sustainability. Rose began her career working in the non-profits sector working with various organizations to combat issues associated with domestic violence, immigration, homelessness, education, healthcare, and food insecurity. She currently works as a UI / UX Designer. Describe what you do for work and how your experience with it has been.I review SNAP policies and I advocate for systemic change.Why did you choose to earn an MA at MCAD? MCAD provided an online course load with proper academic accommodations.What was your biggest takeaway from the program? Systems thinking, Behavior change, and community building.Where were you located when you completed the program?Cleveland, OHWhat was the online education like?I really enjoyed it. Specially the more social sustainability courses.How has the MA impacted your career/your life?It has allowed me to figure out that field I want to be in. I was unsure at first.How do you incorporate sustainability into your everyday life? What advice do you have for others to do the same?I'm working on lowing my waste at home while also educating or setting up compost systems for others I know.What would you tell students considering pursuing an MA degree in Sustainable Design?I would say to enrolled and let the courses take you on a journey of discovery. Ask all the questions you have because they staff is open to helping.
