This class focuses on the majors of drawing and painting. Open to ages 15 to 18. Course descriptionWork in MCAD's professional and expansive drawing and painting classrooms to hone fine arts skills and define a creative vision. Using traditional drawing and painting media, explore the wide range of techniques used by fine artists today. The painting section includes hands-on color theory exercises, observational studies, Master copies, and experimental research. The drawing section focuses on techniques such as organizational line, planar analysis, perspective, and value to create dynamic drawings.Participants work from observation to add advanced work to portfolios. / Professional nude models will be used in this class. / A 30 minute campus-based unsupervised lunch is scheduled daily. / Materials fee of $100 in addition to class tuition.
