Learn the essentials of landscape painting while enjoying all that summer has to offer. Painting outdoors is a great way for artists to get out of the studio and reconnect with the natural environment. Course descriptionBegin by considering how to best approach the landscape as a subject in order to identify a compelling composition. Next, learn how to mix a color palette suitable for expressing the fugitive elements of the landscape, such as light and movement. Through demonstrations and guided lessons from the instructor, learn some of the best techniques for capturing the subject and progress with confidence onto finding an individual style, subject, and approach. / Class may be rescheduled or the locations may change in case of inclement weather (active rain, not the threat of rain, or damp ground). / Facilities fee of $10 is included in course tuition.Please note that this course meets outside and may require climbing stairs, a hill or navigating uneven ground.
