Explore nature and create nature-inspired artworks that combine the outdoor world with fun and creative projects. Open to ages 6 to 9. Course descriptionGo on outdoor adventures around MCAD's green and lush campus, and translate the colors, textures, and forms from the natural environment into various art projects. Create personalized terrariums, nature journals, collage art, and watercolor paintings. A field trip to the Minneapolis Institute of Art provides inspiration through viewing works like the Chinese masterpiece, Jade Mountain, a variety of impressionist paintings, and textile art. The course concludes with an outdoorsy showcase of artwork for friends and family to admire.Open to students ages 6 to 9. Students must meet the age requirement by August 1, 2026.
