Introduction to Video Color Grading (In Person)

Course Description

Go beyond the technical 'how' and explore the intriguing 'why' behind color grading. This class unlocks the power of color to provide focus, clarity, and emotional depth to your work. This class is geared towards filmmakers, editors, content creators, and hobbyists. / This computer-based class is held in an MCAD computer lab and students will have access to Adobe Creative Cloud software throughout the course.

Open to students ages 16 and above. Review complete policies, including class cancellation policies, before completing your registration.

Class meeting details

This class meets in person on MCAD’s campus.

Prerequisites

Previous intermediate-level experience with Adobe Premiere Pro is required. Example skills include managing media assets, importing files, creating sequences, understanding editing tools and principles, applying effects, understanding the Effect Control panel, and export renders.

Required materials

Supplies for the first class

  • pen or pencil
  • notebook or sketchbook
  • USB drive or cloud storage option for saving work

Software
Adobe Creative Cloud (provided by MCAD).

Hardware
If students access Adobe Creative Cloud at home, a computer capable of running Adobe Creative Cloud software, with internet access is required.
