Explore different versions of the self through the expressive form of self-portraiture. Open to ages 9 to 12. Course descriptionDabble in realistic and abstract portraits using a variety of techniques like photography, drawing, painting, and monoprinting. Daily engaging experiments encourage playful exploration of the self. Take a field trip to the Minneapolis Institute of Art to gain inspiration and view many forms of portraiture, including painting, drawing, sculpture, and more. The course concludes with a showcase of self-portraits for friends and families to admire.Open to students ages 9 to 12. Students must meet the age requirement by August 1, 2026.
