Course descriptionThis course provides a collaborative environment for artists and designers to advance their personal and professional practices. Conceived as a supportive and inclusive space, the environment encourages creative professionals to exchange knowledge while fostering the motivation and accountability necessary to finalize current works or initiate new endeavors.Share professional resources, including details on upcoming exhibition openings, grants, and artist residency opportunities.Engage in time for accountability check-ins, opportunities for feedback, sharing of resources and ideas, and goal setting exercises. Set goals and share updates on work in progress throughout the course, including a final presentation. Participants have access to certain MCAD facilities including the library, service bureau, computer lab, scanners and Adobe Creative Suite.This course is open to artists and designers working in a wide variety of mediums, as the focus is on enhancing one's practice, regardless of method. Cross pollination and interdisciplinary exchange is key to a rich and inspiring experience. Come with a project to work or an idea to on at the first class meeting.Open to students ages 18 and above.
