Join in a smorgasbord of food-themed creative fun with hands-on projects in a variety of different mediums! Open to ages 9 to 12. Course descriptionThis class is a full buffet of art mediums - exploring the fun, colorful, and delicious world of food. Learn drawing, painting, sculpture, and printmaking techniques using favorite foods as inspiration. Explore how artists have used food to fuel their creativity for still life painting, Pop art, and contemporary art. Investigate and discuss food-themed art during a trip to the Minneapolis Institute of Art for additional delicious inspiration! The course concludes with a display of artwork delicacies for friends and families to admire.Open to students ages 9 to 12. Students must meet the age requirement by August 1, 2026.
