Course DescriptionLearn how to use shadows, strokes, inlays, swashes and more to make bold, impactful, eye-catching letterforms. 1970s style typography has many historical references and styles, such as Victorian, Art Nouveau, bold letterpress and psychedelic. Discover techniques to make your lettering designs extra groovy!During hands-on class time, students will have time to work on a decorated word, phrase, or letter in Adobe Illustrator. Class content explores various ways to adapt 1970s elements to match various typography styles and reflect students' unique artistic voice. / This computer-based class is held in an MCAD computer lab and students will have access to Adobe Creative Cloud software throughout the course.Open to students ages 16 and above.
