Whether it is your first time on campus or you have joined us previously, please review the following information in preparation for your upcoming course at MCAD. Syllabi and class material lists will be supplied at the first class meeting. Please also review online class listings for any materials that you should bring to the first class meeting. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, hours are subject to change. Check out mcad.edu/forward for the most up-to-date hours for MCAD's campus and facilities. Getting to MCAD and Parking MCAD is located at 2501 Stevens Avenue in Minneapolis. Free, unrestricted street parking is available near campus. Parking in MCAD's surface lot is also free during the summer. There is a charge to park in the surface lot during the school year. New parking information will be available closer to the start date of fall classes. Campus Map MCAD Art Cellar Morrison Building, Room L100 612.874.3775 The Art Cellar is open to Continuing Education students. Please call the number above upon arrival and a staff person will let you into the Morrison Building door at the base of the skyway. Please identify yourself as a Continuing Education student. Current Art Cellar hours: Monday–Friday: 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. The Art Cellar is closed Saturdays and Sundays. Library Checkout privileges are available to Continuing Education students for a semester fee of $20. Students enrolled in a class for credit do not have to pay this fee. Morrison Building, Room L101 612.874.3791 Library hours Service Bureau The Service Bureau provides copies and laser prints, high quality color inkjet prints, scanning, digital archiving, and DVD creation at an affordable price. Please note these services are only available for classes that are registered with the Service Bureau. You will be notified if your class has access. Main Building Access Public Hours: Monday–Friday 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Saturday 10:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Access to MCAD buildings is not open to the public at this time. At the first class meeting of an in-person class, students will be issued a building access card that may be used to enter the building during the class session. If you forget the pass, buzz Campus Safety to be let in and check-in at the welcome desk. Safety Campus Safety officers patrol the college campus 24/7. Security can be reached from any college phone by dialing x1801. There are direct-access phones in each elevator and at the east entrance of the Main Building; there is also one in the Morrison Building near the first-floor entrance.
