Red Wing Arts Announces Their Inaugrual Creative Laureates

Zamira Mendoza ’24, MA is pleased to announce the City of Red Wing Arts & Culture Commission has selected their Inaugural Creative Laureates. The Creative Laureates Program is an extension of Mendoza’s Creative Leadership Masters capstone project at MCAD.

During their time at MCAD they were serving as the chair of the Arts & Culture Commission to design a program that uplifted local artists as community change makers and help advance the City of Red Wing as a regional arts and culture destination. The selected artists include Lora Skelton, a multidisciplinary artist, and her project Creative Caregiver Series: An Art Gathering for Caregivers of Children with Special Needs, Megan Tsui, and her project Between the Bricks: Tiny Stories of Red Wing, Jessica Zuehlke, a playwright and theatre artist and her project Our Stories: OUTLOUD.
