"Other Worlds" by David M Scott

David M Scott ’98 showed off new works in his most recent exhibition Other Worlds at the Rosalux Gallery. As Scott explains, "my abstracts are studies of line, form, color, and gesture. They are a distant cousin to the architectural world of design I was part of for many years. The object is to give the viewer a respite from the pace and overload of our everyday world, a non-representative place of quiet and meditation."

"The scrolls and landscapes shown are visual stories of different environments, ideas, history, and people’s lives. Many times they’re tied to my life and travels but not always. I often reference history and ideas tied to the landscape painted to give the viewer a fuller experience."
