Old Girl in a Tutu Premieres in Hollywood

Old Girl in a Tutu: Susan Rennie Disrupts History, directed by Cheri Gaulke ’75, is set to have its Hollywood premiere on June 20, 2025. The movie follows Susan Rennie, prolific queer feminist, and co-creator of Crysalis: A Magazine of Women’s Culture as well as many more feminist publications.

The film explores Rennie’s digital collage creations, reimagining them with her self-portraiture. Entirely shot with her iPad and iPhone, her works queer classic pieces of art and bring a new humor to them, while also celebrating her body in it’s old age. The movie will be showing at the Dances with Films Festival at the TCL Chinese Theatres in Hollywood.
