Elliot Looney ’08 has recently opened up his own art gallery in St. Paul.

Looney's gallery, named The Z1, aims to revitalize the local art scene, and aims to create a diverse space accessible to all residents. Looney has also had a recent interview with local Twin Cities NBC affiliate KARE 11 regarding the gallery.

"I think people just want art down here," Looney has told KARE. "A space to hang out before they go to a show, or a concert or bop into the History Center. But there's not really an adult space to chill quite yet.

"I think an art space allows you just to move throughout the world and showcase a lot of different artists and a lot of different people. We're kind of excited to show it off."
